nutsandboltons - Byron (Canary Wharf) - London - Steamed Ham #9

'Proper Hamburgers' is their tagline, and despite the fact that phrasing it that way anglicizes a decidedly American food, they totally get it right.  Ordered the Byron medium rare, and it didn't disappoint.  Pink and juicy in the middle, nice flavorful char on the outside, bacon (real streaky bacon, not rashers!), lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar, and Byron sauce (which is suspiciously similar to thousand island dressing).  Fantstisch!  They lose a point for being extra pricey, though.  £16 ($24+) for burger, side, and a beer.  Ridiculous.

9/10

Courgette fries (zucchini for those who don't speak French) were ok, but the breading didn't stick and the zucchini was too limp.  A Sierra Nevada Kellerweis finished things off nicely.
